North Sydney may be surrounded by exclusive neighbours such as Kirribilli and Neutral Bay, but with a new luxury development on the way, it’s building its own reputation for premium living.

Aura by Aqualand  — now on sale — is designed to offer the best of contemporary luxury, with impressive views, quality fittings and ample amenity.

The first stage of the $1 billion mixed-use development comprises 102 apartments designed by architects Woods Bagot, with the penthouses uniquely crafted by interior design firm Richards Stanisich.

The development will continue the shift in the perception of North Sydney from a commercial hub to a luxury lifestyle suburb, expects Angus Moore, economist at realestate.com.au.

“The median unit sales price is over one million dollars in North Sydney — up nearly 16% in the year to October 2021 — so it’s certainly on the move,” Moore says. “That’s not surprising given how close it is to both the Sydney CBD and North Sydney commercial areas.”
